Decentralized identity and cybersecurity will be among the core topics at the 15th European Identity and Cloud Conference to be held from May 10 to
13, 2022 in Berlin. Speakers from global organizations such as Mastercard, Siemens, Lufthansa, Deutsche Börse, booking.com, Yahoo, TomTom, and many
more will present successful projects and best practices.
The next normal
The conference will be held in a hybrid format with the on-site part in the Berlin Congress Center at the very heart of the German capital. In 2021,
KuppingerCole established the hybrid format for its events bringing together attendees from all over the globe on-site and via its virtual event
platform. “The conference has been a place for global IT experts since 2004 but last year we really made a big step forward by virtually connecting
more than 2,000 people from over 90 countries,” says KuppingerCole CEO Berthold Kerl.
Apart from the digital identity topics the company
is well known for, this year many cybersecurity trends have found their way onto the agenda. “In the Digital Age, IT must focus way more on innovation
than on just delivering standard IT services off the shelf. In some way, cybersecurity and identity management today are at the forefront of the digital
business, with identity as an enabler and cybersecurity as the foundation for secure delivery,” says KuppingerCole Board Member Martin Kuppinger
Among the numerous key topics will be real-life applications of Zero Trust, Decentralized Identity, Blockchain, Cyber (Supply Chain) Resilience, Secure
Access Service Edge (SASE), Blockchain, Passwordless, Multifactor Authentication, Industry 4.0, Edge Computing, and Artificial Intelligence.
